Dr. Shere Hite is the researcher/author of the legendary series of books known as The Hite Reports, including those on female sexuality (1976), male sexuality (1981), women's emotions in love (1987) and growing up male and female in the family (1996), as well as several other volumes. She is currently Professor of Clinical Sexology at Maimonides University (U.S.) and Honorary Professor at Chongqing Medical University in China, plus continuing research on female sexuality. The Shere Hite Reader: Sex, Globalization, and Private Life was published by Seven Stories Press in 2006.

Shere Hite speaks on sexual politics in a new light -- The female body and reproduction are the basis of the international global conflict going on now: How do women fit into society? Should women be 'pure' family members or 'have their rights', and in what way?

Female Sexuality -- Is it true that women reach orgasm via a 'g-spot' that exists inside their vagina? Are women today expressing themselves sexually, or are we living with the legacy of the 1960's?

Male Sexuality-- How is masculinity developed? Is it true that men are "made like that" by biology, which is unchangeable or are men also socialized in this behavior? Why are some men bullies, while others are not?
