Katherine Cross

Katherine Cross is a Ph.D student in sociology at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City who specialises in the study of gender online, especially online harassment. In addition to being a weekly columnist at Feministing, she is a cultural critic who has written extensively about the virtual world and videogaming in particular. She is a frequent contributor to Bitch magazine and her work has also appeared in Polygon, Paste magazine, Boing Boing’s Offworld, and RH Reality Check. She is a sought after expert in the study of online harassment and gaming culture who has been interviewed in publications like The Nation, Vice, and LeMonde.
