Soapbox is a community for prominent and emerging writers, filmmakers, activists, and thought leaders. We match our speakers with venues and hosts to execute meaningful events; from mass gatherings to intimate conversations. Soapbox also works with organizations to deepen or unearth their feminist practices.
Since our founding in 2002, Soapbox has facilitated thousands of events, elevating feminist voices and ideas. Authors Amy Richards and Jennifer Baumgardner, initially launched Soapbox to facilitate their own speaking tours and quickly amassed a roster of leaders in the feminist movement.
Besides managing speakers, booking events and strategizing with organizations and projects on their growth and outreach, Soapbox is also the creator of Feminist Camp®, an immersive experiences dedicated to deepening understanding of feminism(s) as both a theory and a practice. Campers have gone on to establish careers as midwives, lawyers, human rights activists, writers, and more.
We also consult with authors, filmmakers, and organizations to plan events and strategize on their growth and outreach.
